This year’s annual Moonlight Gala promises to be a real barn-burner as the popular fundraising event for the Delta Hospital Foundation will take place at the Roddick’s family barn on Westham Island. Set for September 12 with a ‘Diamonds & Denim’ theme, guests are invited to come attired in dapper denim and glamorous glitter to make the most of the fun-filled evening which will again be emceed by Tsawwassen resident, popular actor Jackson Davies.
 
Moonlight Gala Chair Sarah Toigo is very pleased to announce Century Group as this year’s presenting sponsor of Moonlight Gala. “Century Group and the Hodgins family have a very long history of supporting Delta Hospital and we are so happy to have them with us for this year’s Gala”, says Toigo. “And having Gala back in Delta at the Roddick’s barn will make for a really fun and memorable night”.  
 
Not only will guests be treated to a unique evening, they will also be helping to raise funds for an "Extreme Makeover of Operating Room #3” at Delta Hospital. This OR is now in dire need of an upgrade since the endoscopy equipment it previously housed moved to its new suite. With the hospital performing over 6,000 day surgery procedures annually and wait lists growing, it’s now essential to make OR #3 fully functional.
 
In keeping with the Diamonds & Denim theme, Lawlor Jewelry of Ladner has donated a one carat certified loose diamond valued at approximately $10,000 to be featured as the night’s raffle prize. The evening will also feature live and silent auctions, a bling bonanza, games, music and dancing.
