Dec 2009 - Tsawwassen Legion Donates $4,000 to Foundation

The Royal Canadian Legion 289 of Tsawwassen has been a long time supporter of Delta Hospital, raising funds through a variety of events. On December 23, Al Wakarchuk and Lloyd Jones were pleased to present $4,000 to Teresa Cooper, Executive Director of the Delta Hospital Foundation.
 
“The Tsawwassen Legion’s ongoing support is greatly appreciated and allows us to continue to purchase new equipment for the hospital,” Cooper says. “This donation will go a long ways towards the refurbishment of operating room #3, and help alleviate wait times for our many day surgery procedures.”
 
The foundation is especially grateful to the entire community for all their support through 2009. In spite of the economic downturn, donors continued to support their hospital and help fund much needed equipment such as the CT scanner and OR upgrade.
