Memorial Tournament raises over $19,000 for Delta Hospital Foundation

DELTA, October 14, 2011 - The Century Group George Hodgins Memorial Golf Tournament September 19, 2011 held at Delta Golf Course raised $19,517 for the Delta Hospital Foundation.

Since 2006, the annual tournament has raised over $86,000 for the hospital helping to purchase the best and most up-to-date equipment and technology including the operating rooms, the emergency room, and medical imaging.

“George Hodgins relationship with the hospital began many years ago”, said Teresa Cooper, Executive Director of the Delta Hospital Foundation. “We are so thrilled that Century Group, with this memorial golf tournament, has taken George’s legacy and continued to support our hospital. Their commitment is tremendous and the entire community benefits”.

Century Group’s generous giving history to Delta Hospital has been longstanding and began in 1991. The company has donated over $1.6 million in support of various capital campaigns, the purchasing of medical equipment, fundraising events, CT scan campaigns, and ‘hospital’s greatest needs fund’. In addition, Century Group staff volunteer at Delta Hospital fundraising events.
