Annual Chesapeake Landing Golf Tournament Raises over $1000 for Delta Hospital

September 1, 2011 – The Chesapeake Landing Golf Tournament held August 7 raised $1082.38 for the Delta Hospital Foundation. The local tournament has raised over $4500 for the hospital since 2007.

Tournament chair, Howard Lailey was proud of this year’s event and pleased that so many local companies generously supported the event. Supporters of the tournament include: ABC Country Restaurant, Aquillini Investments, BCRTC-Sky Train, Bombay Joes Restaurant, CIBC-Ladner, Cove Links Golf Course, Ladner Village Floral, MMM Group, Pho Saigon Restaurant, Riverhouse Restaurant, Starbucks, and Tsawwassen Collision.

The Chesapeake Landing Golf Tournament is just one of many independent special events that support the Delta Hospital. Individuals and organizations from throughout Delta make the commitment to fundraise on behalf of Delta Hospital Foundation. Through lemonade stands, bottle drives, golf tournaments and other creative initiatives, individuals and community groups raise thousands of dollars to bring the newest technology and most up-to-date equipment to Delta Hospital.

The proceeds from this tournament will go to the Foundation’s Cancer Care Fund. The fund provides dedicated resources to early detection and the purchase of diagnostic equipment for the care, and treatment of cancer patients. Today the Fund has over $288,000 devoted to cancer care at Delta Hospital.
