Delta Hospital Foundation

The Delta Hospital foundation is the public face and philanthropic arm of Delta Hospital – bridging the community with the hospital. The Foundation raises the financial resources necessary to purchase much-needed equipment, state-of-the-art technologies, capital projects and building improvement, and fund education. Incorporated in 1988, the Foundation is made up of a board of respected community leaders, volunteers; and a professional staff of fundraisers and support services.
The Foundation is dedicated to ensuring the best health care possible for our community. Since its creation and through generous support, over $23 million has been raised towards updating medical equipment and facilities at Delta Hospital.
The Foundation is a Canadian Registered Non-profit Charity No. 12984-4114 RR0001
Importance of the Delta Hospital Foundation
Due to rapid advances in medical technology, equipment and facilities must be constantly updates to provide state-of-the-art diagnostic services and medical treatments. The money we raise helps to make sure that the services provided at Delta Hospital are kept current with advanced equipment and modern facilities.
The Foundation strives to ensure our community has close to home access to the highest quality health care services, which government funding alone does not provide. The Foundation continually works toward and is dedicated to meeting the challenges of limited health care budgets and increasing demands for services.
The Delta Hospital Foundation Board of Directors
The Foundation is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors representing the many faces of our community. It consists of a Chair, Past-Chair, Vice-Chair, Treasurer and eight to ten members of the community, from accountants and lawyers to business owners and managers. The board is serious about upholding the mission and mandate of the Foundation. Meetings are held monthly and the board members assist and support staff activities and special events. The AGM is held annually in September and executive positions are generally held for two years.
Our Staff
The Foundation has six full- and part-time dedicated and passionate staff members overseen by the Executive Director. This staff includes an Individual Gift Manager, Annual Gifts Coordinator, Donor Relations Coordinator, Special Events Coordinator, Communications Coordinator, and Financial Administrator. Student interns are employed over the summer months through co-op programs and federal youth employment initiatives.
